Cap Vista is proud to sponsor the Asian leg of the Global Security Challenge (GSC) semi-finals. The GSC is a premier business plan competition for security related startups organized by London Business School. Each winner of the regional semi finals in Asia, Europe and USA will compete for the grand prize of USD500 000 at the finals to be held in London in Nov 08 . The Asian leg is organized by NUS Enterprise and will take place on the 26 Sept 2008 1400hr to 1730hr at NUS Business School Hon Sui Sen Auditorium .
This year, we have a good diversity of participants from all over Asia in the semi-finals, they are: G.Tsulukidze Mining Institute of Georgia (Georgia), Hiperware ( Singapore), Lockstep Technologies ( Australia), Precision Sensors Instrumentation ( Armenia), Veritide Limited ( New Zealand). The keynote speaker will be RADM Joseph Leong, Head Joint Plans and Transformation Department, MINDEF.
The judges are from esteemed members of the defence and venture areana, namely, Mr Tan Peng Yam, Deputy Chief Executive (Operations), DSTA, Mr Pierre Hennes, Partner, Upstream Venture, Mr Eddie Chau, E-cop, Mr Todd Brethauer, TSWG, US Dept of Defence, Dr Tohru Kishi, Former VP of National Research Institue of Police Science, Japan and Prof Wong Poh Kam, Chairman of Business Angel Network ( SEA) Ltd. The topic for the panel discussion will be "Asian Security - Opportunities and Risks for Security Innovators". On the panel, we will have Dr Fong Saik Hay, President of ST Dynamics, Dr Roberto Mariani, CTO of XID Technologies and last year's Asian winner, Mr Foo Nian Chou, Chief Managed Services, NCS and Mr Lin Yih, Director & Founder of Digital Applied Research & Technology ( DART).
