Mr Hor Gar Yin assumed the appointment of Deputy Chief Executive (Operations) on 1 Jan 2011 and is concurrently Director (Air Systems) of the Defence Science and Technology Agency, a position he took up in July 2010. From 2007 to 2010, he was the Head of Defence Technology Office (United States). Mr Hor's vast experience in the defence industry was also gained from various appointments in the Ministry of Defence.

Mr Hor holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Singapore.
