Mr. Sim Kok Wah is the Chief Executive Officer of Cap Vista Pte Ltd , which is the strategic venture investment arm of the Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA), a statutory board  under the Singapore Ministry of Defence. Under his leadership, Cap Vista invests in innovative technologies that serve the defence and security needs of Singapore. Mr Sim holds a concurrent appointment  as the Architect for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance capability domain under  the DSTA Masterplanning & Systems Architecting Programme Centre. He has extensive experience in managing unmanned and manned aircraft-related projects as well as architecting the next generation of airborne ISR capabilities for the S ingapore Armed Forces .

A recipient of the Singapore Public Service Commission (PSC) – Japan Ministry of Education Scholarship,  Mr Sim graduated from Osaka University in 1996 with a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering.  He was the first foreigner to receive the prestigious Kusumoto Medal for being the top student in his department. He obtained Japanese Language Proficiency Level One in 1994. He further graduated with Masters in Management of Technology and MBA degrees from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2000 and 2003 respectively. Mr Sim is currently serving as a  District Councillor of the South West Community Development Council as well as the Assistant Secretary of the Taman Jurong Citizens' Consultative Committee.
