Richard is also an Investment Manager in Cap Vista. His involvement includes strategic investment planning, technical evaluation of start-ups with potential breakthrough technology, and the corresponding financial and business viability assessments.

Prior to joining Cap Vista, he was a project manager in DSTA's Directorate of Research & Development (DRD). He was investing in and managing defence-related R&D projects in the Surveillance domain. He was involved in the remote surveillance domain.  He had the Team Excellent Award from DSTA in 2003 and 2006 during his service as a project manager.

His experience included defining and managing projects with various renowned international institutes and partners. Richard graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Master of Electrical Engineering. He was selected into the university's four-year Talent Development Programme and was placed in the Vice-Chancellor list for outstanding academic achievements. He is currently pursuing the professional qualification as a CFA charter holder.
