Dennis obtained his Masters of Engineering in Electronics, Telecommunications and Signal Processing from the École Spéciale de Mécanique et d'Électricité (ESME-Sudria), France in 2004. He holds a concurrent appointment as a Programme Manager for Software Defined Radios (SDR) in DSTA Networked Systems Programme Centre, and leads a multi-disciplinary team in the acquisition and development of SDR and related technologies for MINDEF and the SAF.
Dennis joined DSTA in 2004 as a budding communications engineer and had since worked on a myriad of communications projects, ranging from integration of legacy transmission systems, deployment of wireless communications solutions to experimentation on emergent technologies and techniques. As an engineer, his knack for innovation was exemplified by numerous organizational Individual Excellence Awards and Team Excellence Awards from 2006 to 2009. More notably, he was involved in “Experiment Future Might 2005”, the first Air-Land experiment that enabled the showcase of dynamic heliborne planning, as well as innovative human-cognitive interfaces for armour command elements in static, dismounted and on-the-move. His innovative spirit culminated in an Outstanding Team Award at the annual MINDEF Productivity and Innovation in Daily Efforts (PRIDE) Day in 2009.
